I will disagree with you on some of the points. Welcome bonuses are usually great and give you the most amount of value. Basically the only way you can get even a little edge over the house. That’s why even the casinos have created these blacklists of bonus hunters. If you get “flagged” some casinos won’t grant you the welcome offers, knowing that that’s teh only thing you are after. 

Secondly, I know many people who have won crazy amounts of money with free spins. Yes, there is always some work to do because of the wager but still you get to play a new game (usually) and have a change to win.
