I think it’s purely speculative for the most part with crypto given it’s not backed by anything of value.. It could also flash crash if satoshis 2m+ BTC ever start moving and freak the market out as they go into exchange wallets etc. We talk about upto 21M Bitcoin being in circulation but in reality less than half of those that exist have moved wallets in the past 2 years. Some may be in cold storage but most are lost.

That being said I appreciate how easy it makes sending payments anywhere in the world but the fees can be expensive if you want fast transactions which sucks. I mainly use Litecoin as it seems alot faster no matter how small a transaction you send.
