Also, players tend to raise the bet too much after the first decent hits, thinking that now I have a good balance. I’ve done the same mistake many times as well but those cold streaks always comes at some point and then it migth be too late to “save” the balance anymore. 

There are no right or wrong games buddy. You can’t predict in anyway that a game is going to pay you or not.
