The government’s priorities are completely backwards. And don’t even get me started on how they advertise the hell out of these betting apps during every single sports broadcast but then act all concerned about “protecting young adults” by making arbitrary age cutoffs. I know plenty of people who started betting before they were legal age using offshore sites or just having older friends place bets for them. The laws don’t actually prevent anything, they just make it more complicated and push people toward unregulated sites where there’s no consumer protection.
