Back when I first started, I didn’t really understand poker basics for beginners, and I was way too aggressive. I had top pair and went all-in without thinking. The other guy called me, and the next thing I knew, he showed a full house. I didn’t even see it coming because I was so focused on my own hand. Now I always play a bit more cautiously, but that loss hurt. It’s a tough game when you don’t know what to look for in your opponents.
